As an Independent contractor I provide design and drafting services. Project types have included home remodels and additions, as-built drawings as well as full permit/construction drawing sets.

Casey & DeChant Architects Tacoma, WA
Working directly with the principals of the firm and project manager, I put together permit and construction drawings using AutoCAD Architecture 2012. My scope of work has included housing authority projects, both single and multi-family. The redesign of an existing apartment building, interior and exterior, multi-family, and mixed-use projects.

Under my project manager’s supervision, I detailed and developed permit and construction documents in accordance with IRC and IBC building codes as well as ADA requirements. The scope of work included custom residential, retail, and multipurpose. My primary drawing tool was AutoCAD 2018 but I did get the chance to utilize my some of my skills in Revit. I helped set up company standards utilizing dynamic blocks. I also learned Autodesk's vehicle tracking software to aid in site plan design.

Responsibilities included stocking, maintaining overstock, customer service. Operated a forklift and pallet jack.

Estimated future projects from architectural building documents. Created client approval and shop fabrication documents using AutoCAD.

A high end custom residential design company. My responsibilities included drafting new home plans using AutoCAD for permit and construction. Met with contractors on-site to work through construction issues.

Supervised production drawings of two draftsmen in accordance with architect’s markups. Scope of work included residential, retail, restaurant, and churches.

Created submittal and shop drawings for fabrications of railings, gates, and spiral staircases. Visited job sites and field measured prior to fabrications. Created and maintained company website. Created marketing materials using Photoshop.
